CarPro Inside Review: A Foaming Concentrate for Leather, Fabric and Alcantara

4.5

Our Verdict

A high-foaming interior concentrate that CarPro rates for finished leather, vinyl, plastic, fabric, carpet and seatbelts, used straight on heavy soil, 1:1 for routine cleaning and 1:10 on Alcantara. At pH 9 to 10 it cleans oils well but comes with rules: apply to a towel, don't let it dry, wipe down with a damp cloth. It rewards careful users.

CarPro is known for coatings, and CarPro Inside is built with the same detailer-first thinking. It is a concentrate, not a grab-and-spray product, and the directions read like a process sheet. In return you get one cleaner that CarPro rates for finished leather, vinyl, plastic, wood trim, fabric, carpet, rubber and fabric mats, seatbelts and, heavily diluted, Alcantara.

What you get

A 500 ml (17 oz) bottle of high-foaming cleaner made from surfactants and mild detergents. CarPro lists the pH at 9 to 10, which is mildly alkaline, and that explains both why it cuts body oils and sweat well and why the brand is careful about how it is applied. The foam is deliberate. It holds the cleaner on the surface so a brush can work soil out of leather grain and fabric weave. The fragrance is light.

How it's used

Dilution sets the strength. Use it straight for heavy soiling, 1:1 for typical cleaning, and 1:10 for Alcantara. Shake, apply it to a towel or brush, agitate, then wipe away the residue with a damp towel. That damp wipe is a real step, not an optional one. For Alcantara, CarPro says to mist lightly, rub gently in small circles with a soft cloth and wipe with a water-dampened cloth. An interior scrub brush suits seats and mats.

Where it falls short

The cautions are specific. Don't spray it directly onto leather or other sensitive surfaces, don't use it on warm panels or in direct sun, don't let it dry on the surface, and test a hidden spot first. That is more care than a pH-neutral leather product like Gyeon LeatherCleaner asks for. It leaves no protection, and you'll need a spare spray bottle for the diluted mixes.
