Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer Review: The Glovebox Bottle
Our Verdict
Quik Interior Detailer is a mild, high-lubricity spray for dust, fingerprints and light spills on plastic, vinyl, leather, rubber, metal and screens. It adds some sun protection and dries to a natural, non-greasy finish. It is not a deep cleaner or a long-lasting protectant. As a quick-wipe product for upkeep between details, it is a cheap and sensible staple.
Interiors rarely get filthy all at once. They collect dust on the dash, fingerprints on the screen and a coffee ring in the cupholder, a little each week. Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer is made for that kind of mess: a spray-on, wipe-off cleaner intended for frequent light use, not a deep clean.
What you get
A 16-ounce spray bottle of a formula Meguiar's calls gentle and high-lubricity, meaning dust is lifted and carried away in the towel instead of dragged across glossy trim. The company says it safely cleans all interior surfaces, naming plastics, vinyl, leather, rubber, metal and even LCD and navigation screens. It also contains sun-blocking agents to help preserve the original appearance, and it does not leave a greasy look or feel.
How it's used
Spray, wipe, and flip the towel to a dry side for a final pass. For screens, gauge clusters and piano-black trim, mist the towel and not the surface, and use a clean, soft microfiber so you do not add fine scratches. Kept in the car with a towel, it handles dust, smudges and fresh spills in a minute or two at a gas stop.
Where it falls short
This is a detailer, and its cleaning power is deliberately mild. Ground-in grime on door sills, sticky spills that have dried, and soiled seat fabric need a real interior cleaner; P&S Xpress is the stronger option. The sun-blocking agents are a bonus, not a substitute for a dedicated protectant like 303 Automotive Protectant on a dash that bakes in the sun. And it is not meant for cloth upholstery, carpet or suede-type materials.
Who it's for
Nearly every car owner, as the low-effort bottle that keeps a clean interior clean between proper details. It is inexpensive, sold almost everywhere, and safe enough to hand to anyone in the household. For the heavier cleaners that go with it, see our interior cleaner guide. Check price on Amazon
