P&S Xpress Interior Cleaner Review: One Cleaner for the Whole Cabin

P&S Xpress Interior Cleaner was designed for express interior work, where one cleaner has to move across every surface in the cabin quickly and leave nothing behind. It has since become a common recommendation for home use too.

What you get

A ready-to-use cleaner that P&S says safely cleans leather, vinyl, plastic, rubber and other interior materials without the risk of discoloration or damage. The company says it removes dirt, grease, body oils and everyday traffic marks without drying out delicate surfaces, and leaves them residue-free with a light, fresh fragrance. There is no dressing in it, so plastics and leather go back to their natural matte look. It is sold in pint, quart, gallon and five-gallon sizes, and the larger jugs bring the cost per ounce down considerably.

How it's used

Spray the surface until the cleaner foams lightly, agitate with a towel or a soft brush such as the Detail Factory ultra-soft set, and wipe clean, finishing with the dry side of the towel. On screens, piano-black trim and perforated leather, spray the towel instead of the surface. Because it works at full strength there is nothing to measure, and the same bottle handles the dash, door panels, seats and steering wheel in one pass.

Where it falls short

Xpress cleans and stops there. It adds no UV protection, so a sun-exposed dash still wants a protectant such as 303 Automotive Protectant, and leather still benefits from a conditioner or coating. It is also a general-purpose cleaner: deep carpet stains and heavily soiled cloth seats are better handled with a dedicated fabric cleaner or an extractor.
